Living Realty is one the GTA’s largest independent real estate brokerages, with a 16,000 sq. ft. head office in Markham and branch offices in north Markham, North York, downtown Toronto and Mississauga.
About the position
The successful candidate for this role will be expected to independently produce, edit, curate and publish real estate and real estate related news content for the Company’s many social media properties and real estate websites. Such content will consist of news articles, videos, OpEds, interviews, blog posts, market updates and new pre-construction project details/marketing. The candidate must be familiar with all forms of social media, search engine optimization, and methods on how to attract positive public attention and engagement.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Working with the Company’s in-house multimedia artist and graphic designer to produce high quality social media content.
- Prepare and write content for company websites, including blog posts, profiles of new home developments. Content will need to be well-researched and written with a focus on SEO.
- Write content for other company projects, including video scripts and phone message scripts.
- Develop/propose/manage social media engagement campaigns on a quarterly basis.
- Write, create and send regular email campaigns using Mailchimp to help promote business objectives.
- Curate and share existing news/web content from reputable neutral sources to be shared via the Company’s networks.
- Assist with content for digital, print and other ad campaigns.
- Prepare content for new websites, social media posts.
- Stay on top of industry news and market information to make appropriate updates to company content.
- Prepare content for other company materials.
Qualifications and Skills
- 0 to 2 years’ experience in a content writing role. This is a junior/starting position
- Relevant qualifications, such as a university or college diploma in a writing field.
- Experience with search engine optimisation is highly ideal
- Experience updating Wordpress websites is preferred. Some web development skills considered valuable.
- Mailchimp experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of real estate industry is considered a bonus, but not required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
