The Senior Content Specialist role is responsible for supporting the execution of the overall Content Marketing Strategy. The role includes content creation and distribution across digital channels and supporting the marketing function and related stakeholders. Reporting to the Content Marketing Manager, the Senior Content Specialist will help to maintain the strategic editorial calendar for a rapidly growing business and work closely with stakeholders and the wider content team on a variety of activities including storyboarding, copywriting, briefs, social media support, and proofreading. This role requires a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
In this role you will:
- Support the execution of Version 1's content strategy across all channels, collaborating with internal stakeholders such as Sales & Account Management, Recruitment, Employee Experience, HR, Service Delivery, and Subject Matter Experts.
- Create high-quality, insights-driven, targeted, engaging, and accessible content for all channels. Content will include case studies, whitepapers, blog posts, videos, and award applications.
- Support the content editorial calendar, ensuring all content is delivered and distributed accurately, to high quality, and on time.
- Act as a proof-reader and editor of content.
- Deploy and update content on the website, social, and online profiles.
- Measure and report on the performance of content marketing activities, and provide ongoing optimizations to improve content performance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to inform content strategies and make recommendations for content innovation.
- Work with the rest of the team, internal stakeholders and external agencies to build and execute campaigns to drive leads, build awareness and engage our global audience.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in content creation and strategy.
- Proven experience in content marketing and a portfolio of high-quality content across various formats.
- Strong understanding of SEO best practises and the ability to create content which is optimised for search engines.
- Experience with social media platforms and creating content which engages audiences across channels including LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter.
- Experience working with content management systems particularly WordPress and a keen interest in crafting strong customer journeys
- Understanding of analytics (Google suite) and data interpretation.
- Excellent inter-personal and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organized with great attention to detail.
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Innovative and creative thinker with the ability to initiate and manage own projects with outstanding execution.
- Experience in IT, technology, or software-focused environment or on technology-related projects desirable.
