Avaliable Job Today As the core of the company, the Inside Sales/Content Developer (“SCD”) is responsible for sourcing and generating content for the publications. This means researching various companies throughout Canada and the United States, selecting those with interesting stories and/or projects and then reaching out to have a conversation with the company’s President/CEO (our clients). The SCD is expected to build relationships and rapport with clients, diving into what excites them and what makes their business successful, i.e. projects (past/current/future), their team, company history, where the company is heading, and so forth.
Inside Sales/Content Developer Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Online research, sourcing companies to potentially feature in one of the publications
- Cold calling companies and speaking with the key decision makers
- Building relationships with clients
- Taking detailed notes during calls, and inputting them into our CRM following the call
- Tracking activities and appointments diligently, using in-house CRM and Outlook Calendar
- Meeting daily/weekly/monthly targets
- Participating in weekly team meetings and collaborating with teammates
Inside Sales/Content Developer Requirements:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills – ability to “think on your feet”
- Excellent active listening skills
- Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally
- Experience with cold calling
- Knowledge in Microsoft products, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook
- University degree or college diploma would be considered an asset
