Content Producer (Maternity Cover) Remote
Job description
We're looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Content Producer to join our busy team. Working in an award-winning Content Marketing team, you'll work across a range of digital content projects with a team of incredibly talented and experienced Content Producers.
You'll deliver engaging and inspiring digital content for the main English Heritage website and YouTube channel. Your role will be varied, and you'll have lots of opportunity to show your creative flair in creating inspiring, informative and attractive web pages, as well as researching, writing and commissioning articles and images, and planning and attending film and photo shoots.
Your primary role will be commissioning, editing and publishing SEO-optimised editorial content via our CMS and Shorthand. You'll work with internal and external authors to bring stories of our sites to life and to engage new audiences with your compelling, historical content.
Engaging with members of the wider English Heritage team, you'll identify opportunities for the promotion of these articles, for example on our social media channels and within our fortnightly Members' newsletters. Strong stakeholder management will be one of your key assets.
As an employee, you'll be a team player with creative insights and vision and you'll thrive in a deadline-driven, collaborative environment. You'll be passionate about using our content to attract visitors to our website - and ultimately the places within our care.
This is a part-time maternity cover, working three days a week. There is some flexibility around which days you work. While the position is a hybrid role, you will be expected to join us in the Swindon office once a fortnight (usually on a Wednesday).
Everyone is welcome at English Heritage and we are always looking for people who reflect the diversity of the country today, to help us make it more relevant to the diversity of the people, communities and places we serve. From remote sites to inner city monuments, from regional teams to our Head Office, the diversity of our teams is critical to making sure our heritage is inclusive, exciting and accessible.
We continually look for new ways to promote the past in a way that is inclusive to all and that celebrates the cultural diversity of England's heritage. By joining English Heritage, you will be part of a charity that is already on an exciting journey to tell everyone's story.
