The role

We’re looking for a highly skilled, motivated and organised Content Marketing Officer to join our central Content and Creative Team.

The Content and Creative Team in the Marketing and Communications division is responsible for leading and coordinating the University’s high impact content to use in all our promotional and marketing activities. This content will be vital to enhance and protect the University of Bristol’s reputation as well as supporting our recruitment marketing teams to meet our student recruitment targets.

The Content Marketing Officer role will be based in a small team with specific responsibility for working across the wider team to identify impactful stories and turning them into strong pieces of content that can be used across all our owned, paid and earned channels. They will monitor the impact our content has and will regularly update our approach to creating content to get the most out of it.

What will you be doing?

You will assist the Marketing Manager to develop and implement innovative and inspiring campaigns using our content to support the University’s objectives laid out in our most recent Vision and Strategy, showcasing the student experience and promoting our reputation as a Russell Group university, in the process.

Working across media spanning print and digital, you will create informative and aspirational content that can be adapted for all channels. As part of a busy marketing team you will plan and deliver marketing projects from brief to completion, on time and in budget, and include robust methods of evaluation to monitor their success and inform future campaigns.

You should apply if

You should have experience of sourcing and understanding content, data and information from various stakeholders and sources to inform your projects. Your experience should also include using insight to ensure content and use of channels is innovative and impactful.

As a team player you’ll be keen to learn and adopt new ways of working as well as sharing your knowledge and experience with the rest of the marketing team to help streamline processes and ensure we deliver the best service to our stakeholders.

Extensive experience in a fast-paced, demanding marketing environment is desirable.
