.Reporting into the Head of Business Development, as Content Marketing Executive you will be responsible for supporting the digital, marketing and new business activity at Black Sun. This exciting new role requires close working with the digital, news business and marketing teams to help deliver impactful, cohesive and engaging content campaigns. You will be creating content across the website, social media, blog posts etc. You will gain exposure from supporting our activities across the new business and marketing mix from updating the website and managing the production of our e-news, through to content production for our social channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content production for case studies and new launches, and implementation across social channels
  • Provide support in keeping the website up to date at all times with latest news, articles and case studies.
  • Provide support in launching content across our social channels.
  • Working with the digital team on to flow in website content for client projects.
  • Maintain a content marketing calendar that schedules all aspects of the creation and delivery of content throughout the year across all platforms, including email, web, blog and social media.
  • Support with producing our monthly newsletter and tracking content performance.
  • Stay up to date with digital developments and generate new ideas to draw audience’s attention
  • Track content performance using tools such as Google Analytics
  • Compile content reports on a weekly/monthly basis, as per the business requirement
  • Salesforce – tracking monthly business performance, lead sources, website registrations etc.
  • Support with entering new contact data, maintaining client lists, pulling reports and campaign management.
  • Alerting the team to new project launches, new leads.
  • Support with managing events materials such as collateral, brochures, banners, ensuring that the right collateral is in place on the day.
  • Support the marketing for our events such as updating our website, monitoring the inbox to ensure we have an up-to-date list of attendees, and managing pre and post event surveys.
  • General support and event hosting on the day of the event
  • Collate all the events stats from attendees to feedback into a simple summary presentation.
  • Set up jobs and folders through which we manage our jobs.
  • Ensure our e news lists are kept up to date with the latest contact information.

To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • A proven track record in new business development in the agency world and delivering new business opportunities.
  • Highly entrepreneurial self-starter, who can use their own initiative to identify opportunities.
  • Excellent written skills are essential.
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.


Qualifications, experience & skills:

  • Educated to degree level, preferably within a relevant field such as marketing, PR, Business.
  • Ideally 1 + year of commercial experience
  • Highly organised, excels in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Be fully conversant with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Databases (training will be given on Salesforce)
