An exciting opportunity awaits
Reporting to the Director, Marketing, the Manager, Content and Communications will be an integral part of the marketing team, leading and building SCU’s content capabilities, and creating compelling and relevant communications for our owned and earned channels to strengthen our brand story. The Manager, Content and Communications is responsible for providing leadership and delivering business results through the development of strategy in the areas of brand management, internal communications, crisis communications, public relations, marketing content and creative across multiple platforms and formats.
Specific Responsibilities:
- As a trusted resource provide communication counsel to senior leadership and executives
- Partner with internal stakeholders to define business needs and objectives, identifying appropriate content and communication tactics
- Identify and execute effective communication strategies to promote SCU
- Through communication generate brand awareness, member engagement, capitalize on opportunities and deliver results
- Provide ongoing creative ideas to ensure SCU’s messaging is forward-looking and innovative.
- Develop and execute multi-stage communication plans across a variety of channels and audiences
- Review written and visual communications for messaging alignment, consistency and qualify across all channels.
- Leverage segmentation data to align content to the needs of SCU’s target audiences/ideal target audience, incorporating the SCU brand voice and personality.
- Champion continuous improvement throughout the organization
- Evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategy using relevant key performance indicators (KPI)
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in journalism or communications, or related field plus 5-7 years of progressive communication experience including leadership
- Must be an effective communicator, strong collaborator, demonstrate the ability to influence, and build our internal communications capabilities
- Must have superior communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address and engage all levels within the organization, and communicate and articulate clear, effective messages that enhance and promote SCU’s brand to achieve business objectives.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with analytical software and tools such as Visio Tableau and CRM with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
