Job Summary:

Disney+ is an important strategic priority for the company, this position will give you the opportunity to drive growth of the service across Europe. You will be an integral part of the EMEA Disney+ Regional Content Team and will effectively support to help balance the global vision alongside bespoke strategies for local markets.


You will have full oversight of all Disney+ content pipelines, from original movies to international original series, collaborating with the Director & Senior Content Manager in delivering the best possible content mix and strategies with an eye on short, medium and long term development and growth. This will entail screening and evaluation of upcoming content with the responsibility of managing the GE slate tracker document which captures all new titles, their attributes and performance potential. This will inform the key beat each month which is the Content Briefing, showcasing D+ content highlights to stakeholders throughout EMEA. These stakeholders will range from marketing, PR, social media to Senior Executives. You will be responsible for the collation of this briefing as well as supporting the UK & Ireland Content Briefing as needed.


Disney+ is a fast paced & agile environment which is ever evolving. You will need to be proactive in responding to both US & EMEA ad hoc requests, relating to inventory management & editorial planning. You will also be responsible for assisting presentations, running projects and pulling performance data to inform content highlights and strategies to the broader Disney+ team. You will need to communicate and answer questions relating to content and strategies from other Disney lines of business (LOBs) within the wider EMEA business.


The Opportunity & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ‘The Content Watchlist’, a regular content circulation sent to the programming and leadership teams, to advise the business on programme prioritisation. Maintain cadence whilst always evaluating how to develop and improve the process.

  • Manage competitor tracking and ad hoc competitor review projects for the programming team and wider Disney+ business with the support of direct report. Ensure all relevant teams have access to upcoming industry title information and assess opportunities to improve tracking and information workflows.

  • Screening & evaluation of content across all pipelines.

  • Collaborate with direct report to run the internal Disney+ screening, and work with internal teams such as research and marketing to deliver insights into the show and facilitate any brainstorming opportunities.

  • Responsible for building & maintaining EMEA editorial plans in all relevant systems & documents alongside EMEA Programming Operations & Planning Manager.

  • Responsible for collation of EMEA Monthly Content Briefing & support UK Content Briefing and presenting select titles to the EMEA teams.

  • Work collaboratively with the Disney+ Director & Senior Content Manager on delivering the best possible content mix and strategies with an eye on short, medium and long term development and growth.

  • Responsible for management of GE slate tracker document to capture all upcoming titles & their attributes (e.g. talent, priority status, cadence & resonance).

  • Respond to inventory management requests, liaise with Content Sales & Acquisitions to ensure compliance with licence agreements.
