Digital Content Manager
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: up to £32,000-£35,000
Location: London or Leeds (WFH 2-3 days a week)
DRC are working with one of the largest political parties in the UK.
The Role:
They are looking for a Digital Content Manager to join our Digital team. Working across the Party, you’ll be managing high profile public-facing digital media accounts, producing digital content, and using your creative and technical know-how to support our digital activity. You will also be engaging daily with the Chairman’s team to develop content on key announcements and events.
You’re great at content planning, coming up with original ideas and opportunities to produce compelling content for our campaigns, and communicating messaging across our digital platforms. You’re responsive to political events and don’t mind working flexible hours to ensure we are getting the message out.
You like being part of a team and take pride in your work. You’re good at brainstorming, coming up with original ideas and producing compelling social media content. You know what people like on different platforms and can always tell when a trend is about to take off.
Your Responsibilities:
- Ongoing management of key CCHQ social media accounts.
- Developing high-quality digital content including graphics, videos and animations.
- Developing social media and broadcast-ready clips.
- Promoting and posting content on major political events and key moments.
- Working alongside other departments internally to develop content and deliver digital projects.
- Pitching content ideas with an eye on current trends in both design and social.
- Ensuring that the Party is always on the pulse, quick and consistent in generating digital content.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in managing and maintaining high-profile social media accounts.
- A strong attention to detail, a creative mind with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrable design prowess with a varied portfolio showing breadth of work.
- Experience and a proven track record in creating engaging content – including graphics, videos,animations and web projects.
- Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, specifically Premiere Pro, Photoshop and After Effects.
- Knowledge of live streaming to social media desirable but not essential.
- Organised with the ability to prioritise, to make quick decisions, to problem solve at pace and work to tightdeadlines.
- Ready to work in an agile, responsive and fast-paced environment.
- An ability to work independently as well as being a strong team player.
- A keen understanding of UK politics and the Conservative Party, with sound political judgement.
