We are hiring a fixed term Scientific Content Manager for a 12 months fixed term contract to develop scientific content and to provide strategic input in our decision-making when creating content.
You will be part of the Content Marketing team and will take responsible for the development of scientific content and the spearheading of strategic initiatives that resonate with the scientific community. Your role will require close collaboration with scientists, writers, designers and stakeholders to craft scientifically accurate content inspiring audiences to act.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Build a community around our content, supporting existing & introducing new strategies to achieve this
- Champion our scientific content to support the brand promise
- Support existing and introduce new content types that brings content to life for the scientific community
- Build scientific credibility, ensuring scientific accuracy in all outgoing content
- Partner with internal experts and external collaborators to showcase scientific relevance and expertise
- Build relationships and produce content that showcases our internal expertise and external relationships
- Take cross-functional input from Solutions Marketing, Growth Marketing and other internal stakeholders to prioritise and develop scientific content
- Manage content development via freelancers and agencies, and develop and manage processes to increase contribution from across the business
You will ideally have a MSc or PhD in Life Sciences, (minimum BSc) with experience of working in a laboratory setting. Knowledge of experimental techniques such as Western blot, IHC, Flow cytometry would be ideal. Perhaps worked as a medical writer, life-science content writer or in an agency setting, this would be advantageous.
You will have excellent attention to detail complemented with strong communication and organisational skills. The ability to prioritise, remain self-motivated and work on multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines. A relationship-building approach with the ability to engage multiple stakeholders and take complex technical information and translate into customer benefits & engaging content.
