Salary: £39,813 per annum, rising to £40,920 per annum, and again to £42,018 per annum in two annual increments.
Contact Management is a front line, critical command within Wiltshire Police and we are looking for an Operations Manager to support the Head of Department (Chief Inspector) to drive improvement activity and deliver an excellent public service.
You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to deal with a variety of situations and deliver change through effective interpersonal activity. You will need to work on you own initiative, to develop, plan and deliver work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
You will need to have the ability to prioritise tasks and have an organised and methodical approach when dealing with workloads. This is a challenging role and you should have previous experience in the leadership and development of high performing teams and service delivery along with the ability to Chair and participate in meetings and present to a wide variety of audiences.
You will be required to provide tactical guidance, leadership and professional support when implementing service level improvements, identifying and managing areas of risk and effecting change within the Contact Management (CM) Operating Model, to ensure effective transition of business as usual activities.
You will manage a number of teams to ensure National and local priorities are met and align to best practice through continuous improvement, including Central Call Handling and Front Desk, Enquiry Offices and Assessment and Development.
This is a full-time role based across Devizes Headquarters and Swindon Gablecross, however within this role it is expected that flexibility is required in periods when the organisation requires. This is an agile role and there are opportunities to also work from home or other Police premises.
