What you will be doing...
Reporting to the Group Travel Team Leader, our Group Travel Advisors play an essential role in maximising all sales and revenue opportunities whilst demonstrating a customer focused, sales through service approach for all bookings of 10 customers or more.
What will you do in the role?
- As a Group Travel Advisor, you will provide excellent product knowledge to find the right holiday for our Customers and Trade Agents by understanding the type of group and sourcing the right holiday and accommodation to suit their needs
- Deliver VIP Customer Service and highlight the Group Benefits on all calls whilst achieving individual and team targets and KPI’s.
- Manage high volumes of new holiday and flight only enquiries via phone and email, alongside amending bookings, updating changes and processing payments.
- Responsible for managing a diary to ensure every sales opportunity is maximised by effective chasing, and all admin tasks are completed.
- Liaise with hoteliers, ground handlers and contracting to ensure best rates and terms are achieved for our customers.
- Be knowledgeable and confident on our in-house systems; the ability to navigate and accurately update these systems is an essential part of ensuring we do all that we say we will for our customers.
- Work as One Team to support each other and deliver a great service to our Group Bookings customers!
What are the key skills / experience you’ll already have?
The successful candidate will ideally have strong travel product knowledge and will have extensive experience within a Travel Agent or Contact Centre Advisor role. A strong sales and service background, good communication skills and be able to build rapport with our customers are also important in the Group Travel Advisor role. Previous experience in a remote/home based role would be beneficial.
Please be aware the start date for this role is 17th April 2023 and you will join us for 9 weeks training from this date.
This role is available on a full time (40 hours per week) permanent contract basis and your working pattern will include working a fixed shift of one of the below:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday 08:30-17:30
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 11:30-20:30
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 09:30-18:30, Friday 08:30-17:30 and Sunday 09:00-18:00
Although you will work within a team, this role is home-based and as such, the ability to be self-motivated and work well independently is crucial.
If you are successful, on joining us, we will provide a comprehensive virtual training and induction programme in order to give you the tools to perform the role, and ongoing training and coaching is part of our commitment to you.
We will also provide you with your computer equipment, however a key requirement of the role is that you must have a suitable working space at home, along with a high speed broadband connection. You must also be based in the UK.
