An amazing job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Consultant Psychologist - Inpatient Eating Disorders to work in a spectacular hospital based in Cheadle, Greater Manchester area. Your will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers
This special hospital offers a comprehensive inpatient specialist mental health service for young people and adults. The service is dedicated to providing innovative, high quality care and treatment for patients with challenging and complex needs, in order to enable their recovery and re-engagement with the community
As the Consultant Psychologist your key responsibilities include:
· You will work with a multi-disciplinary therapies team, including a Clinical and a Counselling Psychologist, Psychotherapist, Family Therapist and Assistant Psychologists, which is embedded within a wider multi-disciplinary team of clinical professionals
· The clinical aspect of the role will involve psychological assessment, formulation, delivering both group and individual therapies, providing a psychological perspective to decision making around patient care, attendance at ward rounds and CPA review meetings, and working closely with and providing support to ward teams to foster a holistic approach to care
· Form a part of the leadership team within the psychological therapies department and will be involved in providing positive and containing leadership, supervision and consultation, and service development
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
· Relevant post qualification clinical experience of working with individuals with complex eating disorders and a confident grasp of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and other relevant therapeutic modalities
· Have training and experience in providing supervision
· Experience in clinical leadership and service development is desirable
· Should have a strong interest in developing innovative practice, working with complexity, and working in teams
· Effective leadership skills including self-motivation, effective communication, the ability to support and motivate others, and the ability to ensure the systematic governance of psychological practice within the team
The successful Consultant Psychologist will receive an excellent salary of £26,000 (£65,000 FTE). This exciting position is a Part Time role working 15 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
