There are currently no acute on call commitments and all patient care is day case. In those instances where inpatient cases are shared, the admitting team will look after the patient.
We have strong links to plastic surgery departments, where some of our consultants work, at University Hospital Wales in Cardiff, Gloucester Royal hospital, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham and Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
The majority of referrals are outpatients but the service does accept internal referrals for inpatients and patients may be reviewed on the ward if necessary, but will remain under the care of the admitting consultant.
