Consultant Microbiologist
NHS Lanarkshire
University Hospital Monklands
Applications are invited for the above post in Microbiology in NHS Lanarkshire, based at University Hospital Monklands, but site negotiable. This is a replacement post to provide Microbiology and Infection Prevention/Control services. We would welcome applications from those with joint accreditation in infectious diseases and those with experience and interest in Infection Prevention and Control.
The new appointee will contribute in full to an expanding service in Microbiology and Infection Prevention/Control and will be joining a strong team of enthusiastic, experienced and very supportive colleagues. The department currently operates with 4.6 WTE Consultants and 0.7 Specialty Doctor.
The job is offered as a full-time post on a 10 PA basis (including up to 2 non-DCC) but applications will be considered from those wishing to work less than full-time. If full-time, up to 2 EPA’s may be available to undertake additional clinical activity.
