It is an exciting time to join the York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Renal Team. There are plans for redevelopment of the York dialysis unit, the renal ward and ongoing service development opportunities in York and affiliated satellite hospitals.
The Renal Department enjoys a close affiliation to the Hull York Medical School and has an active research team. A full range of renal replacement therapies are managed by the team, including pioneering self-care haemodialysis areas.
The post is for 12 PAs and the successful candidate will join 8 full time and 3 part time equivalent colleagues who cover Renal services in a geographical area between Ripon and the Yorkshire East Coast including clinical work in Harrogate, York and Scarborough hospitals and their affiliated dialysis units.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, with a strong ethos in team work and quality improvement who is fully registered with the GMC and is on the Specialist Register or has a CCT in Renal Medicine (or within six months of obtaining it) by the interview date. Dual accreditation in General (Internal) Medicine is desirable, but not essential, for shortlisting.
