As part of this team, you'll work alongside a team of Insurance specialists from across the Global and General Insurance markets and will be able to quickly build upon your existing industry knowledge and consultancy skills to develop your expertise. As part of Digital Insurance, you’ll be working with a multitude of market leading teams from Deloitte to deliver value to our clients across the full delivery lifecycle starting from strategy and proposition definition, to detailed operations and tech design, and being part of engineering and implementation teams to deliver for our clients. The roles and responsibilities of the position are as follows:

  • Ideate creative, innovative and pragmatic solutions to clients operational and technology requirements and challenges
  • Help guide the biggest insurance companies through complex operational and technology transformation journeys from design to delivery
  • Plan, facilitate and document requirement elicitation sessions by applying established business analysis tools and techniques across both agile and waterfall methodologies
  • Work closely with key internal and client stakeholders and effectively demonstrate core project and people management skills
  • Establish guidelines and ways of working for project delivery, through both waterfall and various agile methodologies
  • Support throughout the project lifecycle including project planning, requirements gathering & process definition
  • Collaborate within multi capability teams and co-ordinate technical and design experts to deliver high quality technical solutions aligned to business operations in a timely manner
  • Build effective relationships with peer-level stakeholders across all business workstreams including Operations, Risk and IT

Essential criteria:

  • Experience gained within a leading insurer, broker, insurance technology or consulting firm with a track record of high performance and success in complex and high impact roles
  • Experience in either an insurance technology environment or designing & delivery experience of an insurance platform application
  • Experience or understanding of insurance process and technology change in areas such as:
    • General Insurance processes, reporting and governance across quote, placement Underwriting, Policy administration, Billing, Claims, Accounts/ Finance & Risk Management
    • London Market specific processes, reporting and governance
    • Outward & Inward Reinsurance Underwriting, Accounting and Claims
  • Basic understanding of key insurance business processes across the value chain or at least one Line of business
  • An interest in emerging technology and trends in insurance and financial services
  • Strong stakeholder management & conflict resolution skills
