Our Consultancy team work on exciting projects with leading brands to help accelerate their eCommerce proposition. Conducting extensive research, they help brands to build strategies that allow them to effectively grow online and implement best-in-class ecommerce offerings.
As Pattern EMEA grows, the organisation has identified the need to grow the Consultancy Team. We are looking for ambitious, astute individuals who are keen to help define the growth strategies for our array of clients.
As a Consultant, you will be expected to have the ability to see how the customer experience at the front end needs to be consistent as they move from one touchpoint to another, and you also see how different business functions need to join together to create customer excellence.

What is a day in the life of a Consultant?
Day-to-day life as a Consultant at Pattern is hugely varied. Each project has a team that is made up of different colleagues depending on the scope and requirements of the project. You may be researching the state of eCommerce in the West Coast of the USA one day, or pulling together examples of best practice Social CRM, and being asked to improve ways of working across a marketing and eCommerce team the next.
The role would suit someone with experience in the digital marketing discipline, but with a thirst to work cross-functionally and broaden their experience. Your responsibilities will be broad and will include:
  • Assisting with presentation building, retailer research and analysis, drafting proposals and pitches.
  • Managing client relationships and liaising with stakeholders over email, telephone, and in meetings.
  • Assisting with project management and supporting final delivery of client work.
  • Supporting Pattern’s Marketplace Trading arm, offering consulting support. Helping to define strategies for online growth for clients and supporting the implementation of best-in-class eCommerce offerings.
  • Optimising clients’ digital marketing activity to improve their eCommerce performance.
  • Actively trading websites, including the preparation, management and analysis of eCommerce weekly trade reports looking at sales and other KPIs.
  • Conducting research (competitor research, scorecards, benchmarking analysis, market research) and analysing and forecasting patterns in research data.
  • Complex data analysis and research in a number of different areas.
What will I need to thrive in this role?
  • University degree in a relevant subject
  • 1+ years experience in digital marketing (PPC)
  • Demonstrable knowledge of being able to analyse and interpret data.
  • Strategic mindset and commercial awareness.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Expert in MS Office, particularly Excel for data processing, and PPT for client presentations.
  • Experience interpreting / creating a P&Ls and building a business plan.
  • Experience at a multichannel retailer, ideally across multiple departments.
  • Familiarity with Amazon and other marketplaces and how they operate.
