Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £32,909 to £34,723 per annum (Grade I) | Kings Lynn/ Norwich

The service’s vision is closely aligned to Norfolk County Council’s ‘Together for Norfolk’ 6-year plan and Putting People First strategy, which prioritises: inclusive growth, improved social mobility, excellence in education, real jobs, good infrastructure and supporting vulnerable people.

As part of this strategy, Adult Learning has launched a new and exciting construction and environmental sustainability curriculum. We are inviting applications from experienced construction tutors as well as from experienced trades people looking to move into the field of education and share their knowledge for those wanting to get into the trade. Full training can be provided for applicants who have not previously worked in the education sector or do not meet all of the essential criteria in the job description. Consideration would be given to full and part time applicants. Being a strong, dynamic and innovative multi-skills construction tutor, you will play a pivotal role in the development of this new curriculum area. Supporting the Curriculum Manager, you will assist in planning and implementing, an evolving curriculum that directly responds to the intentions of the learner’s, the community and the employer’s needs as well as the service priorities. You will deliver across a range of accredited and unaccredited courses at our new Construction and Environmental Sustainability Hub in Norwich and / or King’s Lynn. You will have a sound understanding of how the industry is positively responding to its environmental impact, and how to support the reduction of the industry’s carbon footprint.

As an individual with a wealth of industry and knowledge across a range of trades, you will utilise your outstanding abilities to make a positive impact on your learners as they upskill, change career direction, or start a new career in this priority area for the county.
