The Opportunity:
We are looking for talented individuals with a strong, vocational, background in Construction, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, HVAC or Building Services Engineering, who are passionate about transferring their knowledge and skills onto others.
As a Construction Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering inspiring training to candidates to engage them to learn and meet the standards for their apprenticeship programme. Working as part of the delivery team you will be required to maintain a great candidate experience from start to finish. Ideally you will hold a level 3 qualification in teaching or training or have experience in delivering training programmes.
Responsibilities will include, but are not be limited to:
- Ensuring the curriculum covers all areas required by regulatory bodies
- Pitching the curriculum and explaining to candidates in a way that engages and supports their understanding of the programme, in order for them to apply the course content
- Ensuring the programme is completed on schedule for all candidates, allowing for further research and assignment completion and submission.
- Taking full ownership of the part to play in achieving goals of candidates obtaining great results and enjoying their/ having a positive learning experience.
- Supporting other delivery team members i.e. assessors and coaches where timings and candidate demands require flexibility to achieve the candidate goals.
- Managing time (and equipment) to enable candidates to achieve their goals within time frames established.
The Individual we are looking for to join our team:
The ideal candidate will either hold or be willing to work towards a Level 3 or 5 teaching qualification and have a vocational qualification in any of the above areas. You will have strong communication skills and be able to manage your own diary and commitments. The ideal candidate will have the ability or the passion to prepare and deliver inspiring candidate apprenticeship programme training sessions. Even if you don't hold a teaching qualification but have a passion for coaching others, we would like to hear from you.
A detailed knowledge of Apprenticeship programmes is desirable along with the proven ability to communicate knowledge through teaching, training, mentoring or coaching.
Strong attention to details is vital for this role to ensure that records are accurately maintained and to maintain regulatory body standard levels.
There is no requirement for marking/grading in this role and lessons are pre-planned so this is a delivery role only.
