Job description

Skanska are seeking to hire a full time Construction Supervisor to be based on a long term Facilities Management contract in Northwood, Middlesex . As this is site based you must be able to get to the base for 8am starts each day.
This key post will see you play a pivotal role within the Projects & Lifecycle department and be responsible for facilitating the implementation of construction aspects of projects, to ensure successful delivery; working closely with the construction and project managers

*You’ll:*

  • Oversee the successful and safe delivery of project and lifecycle packages.
  • Ensure all our works meet Skanska and client values.
  • Manage, control, and liaise with the work trade contractors.
  • Solve site problems when they occur, providing feedback to Construction / Project Managers on any defects or defaults found and put forward any innovative ideas to alter current methodology.
  • Ensure good communications within the project team and all stakeholders.
  • Assist in understanding the design and report to construction / project manager and design team any design anomalies.

*We are looking for:*

  • Previous experience of commercial office fit out works / civil engineering contracts / facilities construction projects.
  • Previous experience for a tier 1 main contractor.
  • Experience of multi trade contractors, putting them to work .
  • Construction related qualification to HNC level or above.
  • Able to gain SC up to DV level - hence you must have resided in the UK for the past 10 years to be eligible for this very strict, high level SC
