Construction Site Manager - Aldermaston Permanent Full Time £57.000 + £4.860 car allowance We are pleased to present this is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, diligent, focused individual that really want to make a difference in an exciting, state of the art facility. Due to the nature of this contract only British Citizens can be considered for this position and will need to undergo & maintain security clearance. Job Purpose: To plan, manage and monitor and coordinate health and safety in the construction phase of project implementation. Duties:
- Liaising with the customer or their representatives.
- Liaising with the Principal Designers.
- Preparation of Construction Phase Plans.
- Organising contractors during implementation ensuring compliance to project programme.
- Providing site induction and start up meetings.
- Ensuring site is maintained to prevent unauthorised access and suitable welfare is available for use.
- Consult with work force on matters of Health Safety.
- To support all aspects of project implementation through all phases of implementation.
- To assist in the supply of all supporting installation and commissioning documentation upon completion of works.
- Identify and feedback continues improvements, innovations or ways in which the team could operate more efficiently.
- Successfully manage the delivery of installations using recognised installation methods and techniques used in the industry.
- Conform to safety rules and apply good engineering and safety practices.
- Undertake company standard internal training workshops.
- Willing to work in secure and sensitive environment.
- Demonstrable skills in dealing and working closely with internal and external customers and suppliers on complex and interrelated issues on an ongoing basis
Skills:
- Demonstrate a suitable amount of experience working in the Built Environment with good experience in planning, managing, and monitoring construction work.
- Demonstrate an exceptional level of awareness and understanding in construction environment, safety and health regulations and legislation.
- Driven and enthusiastic ambituos who uses initiative to achieve results.
- Polite and able to deal with customers, suppliers, and colleagues as and when required
Essential
- Construction/Build Environment Qualification such as NVQ Level 6, ONC, HNC, HND OR Degree Level aligned to their discipline/specialism.
- Hold an appropriate industry recognised safety scheme, e.g., CSCS Managers card, CCNSG Safety Passport card or suitable equivalent
- Completed the Site Managers/Supervisors Safety Training Scheme. (SMSTS, SSSTS.)
- Be able to communicate effectively and have flexible approach to work patterns
- Be mobile with full UK Driving License.
- Must be able to obtain and retain SC and or DV clearance
