Job description
K9 Protection are looking to recruit an SIA Licensed security guard to cover hours on a client site in Southmead, Bristol. The shift pattern will be:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - Nights.
Saturday, Sunday - Days
Thursday, Friday - Off.
The site is contracted until April 2023, but may extend with notice.
The successful applicant will provide a security presence on a construction site, both regularly patrolling and monitoring the CCTV system whilst not on patrol. As with many construction sites, the site will vary each day and you’ll need to work in line with the client’s instructions to ensure we’re providing the best possible cover to the premises.
The site is equipped with a digital patrol system and you will be expected to log your patrols and note down everything that happens during your shift prior to handing over to the client in the morning.

An SIA licence in either guarding or door supervision is essential.
A people-friendly demeanour with the ability to take a firm but fair approach. Many of our clients are public facing, high profile businesses, so the ability to project a positive lasting impression on behalf of our clients is essential - even when dealing with unauthorised persons on site.
Being able to speak, and write in English is essential, and other languages would be advantageous.
Patrolling is part of all of our roles, and as such we use a digital patrol management and lone worker application to track guard movements. Some sites are supported by remotely monitored cameras and you may be required to liaise with the various monitoring stations to inform them of your patrols.
