Construction Project Manager - Contract

We are looking for a Construction Project Manager to join our growing team and oversee a portfolio of construction projects.

• 
  To effectively manage and deliver a portfolio of construction projects from design handover to completion, including all associated commissioning works.
• Review project on design handover and ensure project is ready for delivery.
• Ensure project delivery programmes is prepared and accurate throughout the project cycle, ensuring a logical and efficient approach is established, meeting the accepted timescales.
• Determine labour & resource requirements and allocate projects to the project delivery team.
• Ensure projects are delivered to exceed the client’s expectations, to agreed timescales and returning the expected profitability.
• Support to Construction Supervisor in completing their role and provide cover if required.
• Carry out suitable Quality Assurance (QA) – carry out pre work checks and sign off completed works checking it’s to specification and the drawings. Compile/collate test certificates, reports etc as required.

• 
  Minimum of HNC in electrical/Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of working in the construction industry
• Management of teams on construction
• Has experience with managing construction programmes, providing projects updates, identify risks, producing look ahead reports and highlight critical path activities.
• Have worked under standard construction contracts e.g. NEC
• Have a comprehensive knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation and compliance on construction sites (including CDM, HSE specific guidance e.g. HSGs)
• Prince2 or equivalent
