Precision Facades are a full building envelope contractor, specialising in A1/A2 fire-rated cladding, glazing, render, brick facades and maintenance. We are due to commence on a construction project in the city centre of Birmingham. Applicants must reside in one of the following wards of Birmingham.

Job Title: Labourer
Reporting to the Project Manager, the primary objective of the role is to ensure that all labouring tasks are completed to the highest standard and within the required timescales, whilst adhering to exemplary health and safety standards. The role will be based on a busy, high volume construction site in City Centre Birmingham and will involve physical, manual labour.
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday 07:30 – 16:30
- 12 months fixed term contract
- Start date: 3rd January 2023
- Salary: £12.50 per hour

Key Accountabilities/Duties
- Carry out works on site as instructed by the Project Manager and in line with both Precision Facades’ and the Client’s standards and procedures.
- Take personal responsibility for health and safety on site and report any instances of breaches to the Site Manager.
- Assist with deliveries and ensure the materials are stored in an organised manner and remain well protected until they are due to be used.
- Ensure Precision Facades’ compound and welfare facilities are maintained.
- Ensure Precision Facades work areas are kept tidy and assist the Cladding Fixers with their duties.
- Conduct walk rounds of Precision Facades’ work areas regularly to ensure there are no surplus materials lying about. Adopting a “don’t walk by” approach, helping to keep walkways clear from slip and trip hazards.
- Ensure all waste is segregated and recycled following Precision Facades’ and the Clients procedures.
- Assist in transporting materials around site
From time to time, you will be required to carry out roles and responsibilities from other job roles within the operational department.

PEOPLE PROFILE
- Health & Safety Awareness (CITB HSA)
- Individual who holds an in-date CSCS or partner scheme card
- Previous experience working on a large-volume construction site is desirable but not essential, a full induction will be provided
- Reliable, hardworking and a true team player with a “can do” attitude
- Have the ability to multitask, be flexible within the role and react to reasonable management requests
- Ethically and morally correct at all times
- The ability to perform physical, manual labour
