Bilt Rite Inc. is an established construction company located in the East Bay, seeking an experienced estimator to join our team and provide valuable support for our commercial tenant improvement (TI) and residential projects.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare comprehensive bids and estimates by carefully assessing the entire project
• Review and/or prepare proposals and contracts
• Generate detailed reports outlining project costs
• Input job cost set-up and manage change orders
• Proficiency in reading blueprints for accurate estimating
• Collaborate with architects/engineers as needed for project communication
• Attend pre-bid meetings to gather project information
• Conduct periodic meetings with Field Supervisor(s) to aid in scheduling, monitor job progress, and address any arising issues

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an estimator in commercial TI (restaurants) and residential (ground up/additions) projects
• At least 10 years of field experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in computer drafting/CAD drawing or equivalent software
• Strong computer skills
• Successful completion of a drug screen and background check

Work Arrangement:

• This position requires the presence of the employee both onsite and in the office. Remote work options are not available for this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Construction Estimating: 5 years (Preferred)
• Residential Estimating: 5 years (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
