Junior Apprentice / Trainee Plumbing Estimator who is either a 3rd / 4th Year Apprentice Plumber or a Qualified Plumber that’s seeking an office-based role or someone who’s worked within a Plumber’s wholesale or similar background with extensive knowledge of plumbing products and who’s looking to progress their career is required for a well-established company in Kilsyth, North Lanarkshire, Scotland.
If you’re currently an Apprentice Plumber the company will see that your apprenticeship is completed and you’re put through your final assessments.
FULL TRAINING PROVIDED
Providing you meet the core requirements for the role, the company will provide full training and support.
SALARY: SJIB Plumbing Rate (Apprenticeship Rate if still Apprentice)

Due to the company’s continued business growth, we have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Junior Apprentice / Trainee Plumbing Estimator who is either a 3rd / 4th Year Apprentice Plumber or a Qualified Plumber that’s seeking an office-based role or someone who’s worked within a Plumber’s wholesale or similar background with extensive knowledge of plumbing products and who’s looking to progress their career.
Working as a Junior Apprentice / Trainee Plumbing Estimator you will be part of a commercial team that engages directly with the company’s key clients, whether it be via face-to-face meetings, telephone calls or e-mails to build on the existing relationships they have with their clients.
Your duties as the Junior Apprentice / Trainee Plumbing Estimator will include:
Booking in new tenders into the tender control system
Sending out enquires for new tenders to sub-contractors and suppliers
Pricing up and returning competitive tenders to clients
Handing over successful tenders to the contracts department
Commercial input on projects from initiation until final handover of developments
Providing technical back up to site and customer care teams
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
3rd/4th Year Apprentice Plumber (The company will see that the apprenticeship is completed and put through final assessments
Qualified Plumber’s that seek an office-based role and can use their site experience to help them within the commercial side of the business
Someone who has worked within a Plumber’s wholesaler or similar background with extensive knowledge of plumbing products
Required Skills
Computer literate
Numeracy skills
Communication (telephone, e-mails, face-to-face)
Understanding of drawings
Plumbing knowledge would be advantageous
Able to work on your own and as part of a team
SVQ Level 3 (Preferred but not required)
