Senior Plumbing and Heating/Mechanical Estimator
Anders Heating Company are looking for an experienced Plumbing and Heating Estimator to join our friendly office team. You will be required to work closely with others in the team and assist junior team members in all aspects of Design and Build projects all in the New Build sector.
We are based on the Buckinghamshire/Oxfordshire border in Thame and are looking for someone that lives within an hour of the offices and can commute daily.
You must have at least 5 years’ experience in the estimating of plumbing and heating/mechanical systems and have reasonable design capabilities. Experience of using estimating software i.e. Trimble or similar would be an advantage. You will need to be able to demonstrate good use and abilities in Microsoft applications e.g., word, excel. Having design experience for mechanical plumbing systems is an advantage as you will be required to assist the design teams with secured projects.
You will be dealing with tenders ranging from £100k value up to £5M value, so commercial experience is an advantage to enable you to tender all aspects of the projects.
Although we are heavily involved in residential new build plumbing and heating systems we have considerable amount of commercial elements to our projects. Other mechanical knowledge would be useful for this role for example HVAC.
As a senior Estimator for Anders Heating your role will include the following aspects
· Receiving and reviewing tenders for suitability.
· Heading estimating meetings and distribution of duties between the team.
· Management of current and future pipelines including all new leads.
· Completing full estimates for new build plumbing and heating tenders, including submission of quotations and tender negotiations.
A few key attributes to assist in the running of the estimating department:
· A keen eye for detail and ability understand and design basic systems at tender stage.
· Ability to work to deadlines and manage tender return dates and client expectations.
· Risk management. To have the ability to identify and mitigate any risk within the tendering process.
· The ability to check and manage other tenders produced by the team.
Salary Range: £45,000-£60,000 negotiable based on experience and responsibility.
