Salary – Circa £39,000 to £42,000 depending on skills, knowledge and experience

Overview of role
Capital adopts a one team approach that shares resources to deliver projects efficiently. As the role will cover project work across all modes within Capital, the job holder should be flexible in terms of movement and location of work to support in successful delivery of assigned projects.
The role will be responsible to work within the Delivery Coordination team on project and programmes delivery planning and monitoring across the projects’ lifecycle, developing and maintaining systems and tools for improved ways of working for projects and programmes coordination purposes, and for the management of the submission of third party funded projects.
Key Accountabilities
- Provides support to the Programme Coordination Manager(s) and the Programme Coordination Assurance Manager(s) in the coordination and optimisation of the delivery of all Capital Delivered projects and programmes, supporting tasks, such as reporting, through undertaking specified technical or administration, communication and resourcing.
- Manages project data, identifying any anomalies or discrepancies to enable their managers to make informed decisions.
- Maintains good working relationships with key stakeholders such as sponsors, project managers, construction managers and other internal teams, as well as contractors and external stakeholders so that support activities on the project run smoothly.
- Works in accordance with the TfL PPM Methodology (Pathway) and to relevant corporate standards and TfL safety requirements.
- Maintains plan of proposed by works contractors and liaises with interfacing projects.
- Influences everyone involved in the delivery of projects and programmes to follow processes and work towards the use of a unique only-source-of-the-truth.
- Identifies and resolves internal delivery performance issues and proposes new ways of working/ processes to resolve them.

Skills
- Stakeholder management, communication and influence: Poses good communication skills both orally and in writing, maximising senior stakeholder involvement and commitment in order to facilitate the delivery of projects/ programmes and influencing the audience to follow due process, while ensuring business priorities and understanding how others’ contribution supports TfL priorities. (Essential)
- Information management and reporting: Collects and collates specific sets of information on a day to day basis and manage relationships around this collection and reporting process. (Essential)
- Business Process Improvement: Has the ability to analyse business performance and processes to identify opportunities for improvements to efficiency and quality. Helps establishing requirements for the implementation of changes in the business process. (Desirable)
- Problem solving, decision making and result focus: Has the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicting priorities to achieve tight deadlines. (Essential)
- Project and Programme management: Applies detailed project/ programme management knowledge including PPM methods and practices to overcome difficulties in delivering project objectives, identifying and solving coordination issues between different programmes of works (Essential)
Knowledge
- Projects and Programme management methodologies (e.g. Pathway/ Prince 2/ APM) (Essential)
- Awareness of programming tools (e.g. MS Project, Primavera) (Desirable)
- Planning and Risk management (Desirable)
- Understanding of Construction Design and Management Regulations (CDM) and New Roads and Streetworks Act (NRSWA) (Desirable)
Experience
- Experience of interrogating and analysing different information sources, presenting them to decision makers to provide insight (Essential)
- Proven experience using data formatting tools (e.g. MS Excel, Power BI) (Essential)
- Experience of construction projects (Desirable)
