Job description
We are looking for candidates that will assist the Lead Driller with the safe and efficient operation of a drilling rig and associated activities, including maintaining drill tooling, maintaining work area, assisting with sampling and excavation of service avoidance pits.
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of Site Operative (Green) CSCS card and a full UK driving license.
Candidates will have flexibility and good organisation in order to provide support to others when required. Candidates must have excellent communication skills with a professional approach, attention to detail, ability to problem solve and the ability to use their own initiative.
It is preferable that candidates have a basic understanding of drill rig types, drilling systems and drilling equipment, as well as being aware of the hazards associated with drilling rigs and drilling methods. However experience is not necessary, and training will be provided.
Candidates must be able to work to a defined health and safety management system, and understand and follow permit systems, method statements and risk assessments.
