Job description
We are looking for an experienced Bricklayer and General Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with brick, stone, and other masonry materials, with experience on small and large projects.
The successful candidate will be able to work independently and follow instructions carefully while maintaining a safe work environment.
Other benefits can be discussed with our Director, and this will be a long term position working within the Home Counties area.
Responsibilities:
- Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry units in accordance with design plans.
- Prepare and mix mortar and other materials to the correct consistency.
- Ensure that all materials used are of the highest quality.
- Inspect finished work for accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Carry out repairs and maintenance on existing structures.
- Use tools such as trowels, levels, plumb bobs, and chisels to shape and cut bricks and blocks.
- All other general building duties.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm
Salary: £200.00 per day
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- South East: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Plastering: 1 year (preferred)
- Bricklaying: 1 year (preferred)
- Masonry: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- CSCS (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
