Conkers is a homely 7 bed residential setting for Adults who have Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities. Our adults have very active social lives and enjoy attending the pub or cafe for nice meals, going to the park to feed the ducks, and attending sporting and music events. We have an on site hydrotherapy pool and can often support our adults for a dip in the pool, or a bounce on the trampoline. We even go rock climbing!
Don’t let all this put you off though! We also spend time enjoying arts and crafts and music. You will work on a rota as part of a team, alongside support staff and seniors who have worked at the service for over 20 years! You will also have support from manager Karla and deputy Saima.
At Hollybank, we have a team of Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists, who provide individual support not only to the adults, but to the staff team to allow them to build their skills and knowledge as part of their role. Our adults enjoy attending Therapy sessions, such as Hydrotherapy, Rebound Therapy and Communication Cafes with their assistive technology.
What we ask for from our staff:
- A commitment to providing quality and person-centred care.
- Treating people with compassion, dignity, and respect.
- Working together as a team to ensure we are the best at what we do.
- Being confident enough to ask questions and challenge ideas.
As an employer we offer:
- A competitive salary and great pension scheme.
- A fantastic, open, and supportive working environment.
- Comprehensive Training & Development opportunities.
- Paid pre-employment training to give you a great head start.
- A wealth of opportunities to gain experience in a variety of skills.
- An employee rewards scheme with retail discounts and more.
- A great pension scheme, and life insurance scheme.
