Job description
Technology Networks (a LabX Media Group Company) is looking for a Conference Producer (Online Events) to support the growth of our brand’s growing portfolio of events.
As part of the events team, the Conference Producer will play a pivotal role in supporting the company’s growth in the online scientific events industry. The successful candidate will be tasked with sourcing speakers, creating high-quality scientific agendas, and supporting all aspects of event production and administration. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and preferably a life science degree. They will be self-motivated and able to set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while working as part of a team or independently with minimum supervision. This role is ideal for someone with a strong passion for science and event production who is looking to make their mark within the exciting, rapidly expanding field of online scientific events.

Responsibilities:
- Source high-quality speakers to create industry-leading scientific event agendas
- Research scientific literature to ensure our events focus on the most exciting, cutting-edge science
- Build and administrate all aspects of our online events using online event software
- Write promotional copy to support the marketing of our online events
- Develop your knowledge of the international science industry with a focus on the life sciences, drug discovery and analytical chemistry
- Develop your understanding of the needs and motivators of our target audiences and sponsors
- Support all online event production efforts
Required Skills:
- Technically adept, very comfortable with learning and using new software
- Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Able to work as part of a team or with minimal supervision
- Outgoing, comfortable on the phone talking to a broad range of people including academics, laboratory professionals and key opinion leaders
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry or similar (preferred)
- Demonstratable passion for science and science communication
Additional Optional Experience
- Scientific events and/or conference production is an asset
- Marketing experience is an asset
- Understanding of the science industry is desirable
- Working in a client-facing role
- Project management is a benefit
- Working with a remote team

This role offers hybrid working. The candidate will be required to attend Technology Networks’ office in Sudbury, Suffolk to help deliver 10 online events each year.
