We are looking for zero hours to work 20-46 hours per week depending on business needs. Potential full time contract for the right candidate.

JOB DESCRIPTION

HOURS: Zero hour – Including evenings and weekends.

POST: Part-time / Zero hours

REPORTING TO: Events Management

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Supporting the Events Management in all aspects of the business operation and

events delivery at a high standard.

Working with the sales team as required across all venues to ensure client expectations

are always exceeded.

Monitor and input into brand standards and operating procedures to ensure we are consistently

delivering an efficient and high level of service and standards that differentiates

us from our competitors.

Assist in creating an environment that promotes employee morale, encouraging the team

to have pride in their workplace, coupled with a personal high level of commitment.

Monitor and maintain the Event Spaces, communicate issues of safety, cleanliness or

malfunctions to the relevant people and ensuring the business is fully compliant and

meeting its legal responsibilities within statutory requirements (i.e., Premises Licence,

Marriage Licence, Health & Safety obligations, Food Safety Standards).

Support and line manage food and beverage and general operation staff and rotas, ensuring

an effective presence is always maintained in line with budget/forecasts and

cost controls

Promote employee training and development needs through encouragement, coaching

and support.

Positively promote sales within the Food and Beverage departments and maximise sales

opportunities by marketing the F&B offering via upselling and raising the profile both internally

and externally.

Be hands on in various roles including supporting Events Management in managing delivery

of events, serving guests on the bar, waiting on duties such as serving guests their

wedding breakfast and evening food buffet whilst maintaining consistently excellent

standards of customer care and service in everything you do.

You may be required to undertake other duties from time to time as we may reasonably

require.

THE ROLE OVERVIEW

Our events, meetings, weddings, and conference business are positioned across three sites,

all within 100m of each other, in Digbeth. Our spaces are used for live music, experiential

events, filming, conferences, celebrations, meetings, weddings, and lifestyle events

amongst others.

You will work closely with the Operations Manager and accountability and responsibility

for all Front of House operations over all sites is expected and you will need to consistently

deliver our brand and service delivery standards, whilst achieving the budgeted

targets and objectives and reporting these as required.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· To meet and greet clients across the spaces from bride & groom to blue chip corporate

and anywhere in between, managing and facilitating client needs throughout events.

· Full event set ups as required and dictated by event schedules.

· Leading the team on the ground to successfully deliver excellent standards, service, and customer journey.

· Managing the bar.

· Leading food & beverages services up to 200 people (this could be a working lunch, conference buffet or 3 course wedding breakfast).

· Managing the site services budget including ordering, stock controls, stock-takes, staff

rotas & wage controls.

· Basic IT skills and strong understanding of excel to assist in reporting

· Reporting responsibilities to assist the team to meet KPI’s including end of night reporting.

· Key Holder responsibilities including cash handling, security, and venue lockup.

Salary: £11.00-£12.50 per hour
