Job description
The Hospital Concierge is responsible for creating a safe and welcoming environment in the lobbies of the hospital. The Concierge will greet, screen, and assist patients, visitors and employees as they arrive to the facility. The Concierge will help create an exceptional guest experience and will be focused on delighting patients and guests by exceeding their expectations and paying attention to detail.
- Greet and direct all patients, visitors and employees in a friendly, courteous and welcoming manner and provide accurate and consistent information to visitors and patients.
- Address patient, visitor and employee concerns in a timely and professional manner, to include:
- De-escalating upset patients, visitors and employees.
- Providing services and goods to turn a negative interaction into a positive outcome.
- Instruct and assist patients and visitor on exactly how to get to their desired location, directions, general inquiries, wheel chairs throughout the organization
- Promotes and demonstrates excellent customer service.
- Screen patients and visitors as they arrive to the facility (when COVID transmission rates exceed acceptable levels in Delta County). Screening will include:
- temperature and symptom checking to reduce exposure for other patients and healthcare personnel;
- Provide and help ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) is used effectively;
- Use thermometer accurately
- Distribute PPE to individuals as needed
- Record and manager tracking information on patients, visitors regarding temperatures and potential COVID-19 symptoms
- Responsible to ensure patients and visitors understand requirements set forth by Delta Health regarding social distancing and PPE (When these additional measures are required)..
- Comply with all HIPAA requirements
- Answer phones and direct calls, or contact the appropriate personnel within the hospital department when patients arrive.
- Be knowledgeable of and carry out building safety procedures.
- General administrative and clerical support.
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Certified Nursing Assistant is preferred.
- Strong Communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills and experience required
- Medical background preferred
- Keen attention to detail skills, including the ability to organize and track information accurately
- Ability communicate effectively with coworkers and patients
