Founded in 2013, ICON Creative Studio is Canada’s largest independently owned animation entertainment company located in the historic Gastown district of Vancouver, BC, Canada. With almost 400 design, storyboarding, modelling, rigging, animation, technical animation, lighting, visual effects and compositing artists alongside creative and management teams.
We are looking for Intermediate Animators (NOC 5241) to join our team in Suite 200 – 341 Water Street in Vancouver
ABOUT THIS POSITION
Required Skills:
- Fluent with Adobe Photoshop
- 2+ years’ experience designing content in the animation industry.
- Mastery of art fundamentals such as Perspective, Form, Composition, Anatomy, Color, Value and Lighting
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of 3D software and the 3D production pipeline
- Self-motivated and eager to learn
- Good time management skills
Job Duties:
- Able to conceptualize characters/ environments/ props consistent to the project style and prepare the concept for modeling, staging and texturing
- Ability to innovate and contribute to the overall visual language of a project
- Able to take feedback and apply the necessary revisions to your work
- Take responsibility for their own work and can complete tasks within the time allotted
- Show passion for their craft and engage in similar activities in their spare time, including taking the time to further their knowledge through study
- Able to Identify issues and relay them to team members
