2D Concept/Artist UI (Contract)
We are looking for a talented, creative and passionate 2D Concept / UI artist. In this role you will be working with the most high-profile children’s brands on the market. You will be responsible for creating game concepts, UI, menus, different high-level quality game assets and graphics for mobile games. You will work closely with the Lead artist and the entire Budge team including the Creative Director, Games Designers, Programmers and Producers.
Responsibilities:
- Create 2D sketch, concepts, illustration that represent well the gameplay and artistic vision;
- Create all the UI in the game;
- Create Menus and all high-level graphics quality assets that represent the game (App Icon, banners, game windows pop-up... etc);
- Create Video montage of the game moment or to showcase some important game assets or game environment for the player and a simple tutorial;
- Prepare all 2D items (objects, characters, environments, buttons, etc. - static and/or animated);
- Design and illustrate objects, environment or characters;
- Create special effects;
- Design and color various visual elements;
- Create models for different elements, gameplay;
- Conduct research;
- Optimize art assets (vector graphics);
- Participate in meetings / production development projects;
Requirements:
- Excellent skills and knowledge in UI, Menus;
- Excellent skills and knowledge in sketching, concept creation and illustration;
- Demonstrate excellent gameplay sensibility by understanding gameplay vision and by illustrating it or creating adequate UI and menus;
- Strong knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator;
- Good knowledge of software, After Effects, Flash;
- Strong drawing and coloring capabilities;
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team;
- Ability to manage time and meet production deadlines;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, organization and discipline;
- Adaptability and flexibility;
- Bilingual;
Assets:
- Knowledge of databases and technical animation 2D;
- Knowledge of the different steps involved in creating a video game;
- Knowledge of technical constraints specific to the world of video games;
- Knowledge of 3D animation;
- Knowledge of Agile method and Jira.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months
Salary: $46,683.30-$118,047.20 per year
