Computer Technician

Lakeland Catholic School Division is seeking a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our technology team. This is a full-time position focusing on providing technical support for the District and will commence in August 2023. Salary ranges from $59,502-$74,097 dependent on experience. Attractive benefits package.

Job Description:

• Reports to the Director of Technology.

• Provide professional service while working in a K-12 educational environment.

• Build a confident support relationship with the client and their peers.

• Provide accurate, timely, and creative technical support for staff and student devices.

• Maintain personal accountability, honesty, integrity, and responsibility within your team.

• Function in a BYOD environment, including Mac, Windows, iPads and Chromebooks.

• Author documentation of software installations, troubleshooting, as well as other policies and procedures.

• Adhere to strict data archival and inventory tracking.

• Manage assigned issues using ticket tracking software.

• Troubleshoot and correct issues related to various Windows Server and Apple operating systems and applications.

• Troubleshoot and correct hardware issues related to various PC and Apple hardware platforms.

• Configure various mobile devices utilizing Apple iOS.

• Troubleshoot and correct issues related to mobile devices such as iPads and Chromebooks.

General Requirements:

• Ability to balance and prioritize large workloads.

• Excellent customer service skills. •

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

• Ability to repeatedly lift approximately 50 lbs. regularly and repetitiously.

• Assist with cross training team members as well as be cross trained.

• Maintain a neat and clean personal work environment. • Willing to travel occasionally for offsite projects.

• Support our faith-based community.

Technical experience requirements that would be considered an asset include:

• Knowledge of hardware and software product support in an Apple environment.

• Knowledge of Application Packaging and distribution in an enterprise environment.

• Windows Server certification and experience. • Knowledge supporting SMART Technologies.

• Knowledge supporting multi-function printers (Xerox).

• Knowledge and experience in cloud-based computing such as MS 365 and Google for Workspace.
