Role
Working at compound sites in Manchester and Greater Manchester area.
To assist the PC Team in safety critical roles of multidisciplinary or single projects in accordance with the requirements of PDSW, helping to ensure that all project work is undertaken in compliance with all relevant Network Rail standards, GERT8000 and any additional HSEA requirements.
Responsibilities
To promote safe working practices, ensure full implementation and compliance with the safety responsibility statement below.
- To assist compound lead with design and site mobilisations including CCTV, TMP and welfare.
- Traffic management / car park, supporting security first thing in the morning and throughout the day where required.
- Ensure all relevant health safety and environmental policies are updated and on display.
- Write up site traffic management plans.
- Write up site specific inductions.
- Supporting BSM / BSC with coordination with cleaning and facility team.
- Supervise and oversee site personnel ensuring they are compliant and have completed the site induction and follow site safety rules and procedures.
- Assist site security ensuring they complete the relevant daily record and handover sheets, and follow the required Amey security protocol along with the delivery / collection and front of house procedures.
- Collate onsite KPI details for the 4 weekly environmental and sustainability reporting programme.
- Receipting / distributing and storing away of all deliveries / collections in line with the delivery collection procedure and recording on the inventory systems if applicable.
- Assisting office admin and management teams.
- Supervising the whiteboard and Collab hub weekly meetings, directing staff accordingly.
- Preparing layouts for the large meeting room / Collab hub for events and whiteboards etc.
- Checking off deliveries against POs and delivery notes.
- Raising any non-conformance reports.
- Filing for audit purposes all delivery collection notes / C of Cs and requisitions.
- Site COSHH and segregations.
- Site Fire Marshall and first aid duties.
- Checking Method Statements / Risk Assessments and supervising all site maintenance requirements via the approved Amey supply chain contractors.
- Ensure site housekeeping is to a high standard and monitored.
- Complete daily site inspection check sheets for the compound / office supervisor.
- Any other duties inline with site expectations and in support of the Compound Lead / Office Management Team.
- Ensure all activities on site are compliant and are supported by the relevant safety documents and certification.
