Compliance Officer – Scania Financial Services

Salary: Up to £42,000 plus excellent benefits package including hybrid working, flexi-time system, bonus incentive, competitive pension scheme and many more!

The Compliance Officer will be joining a small team alongside the Risk and Controls Officer and reporting to the Head of Governance, Risk and Compliance. Through your understanding of the business context and your relationships with key stakeholders, you will perform an essential role in the company’s second line of defence by protecting the business from unwanted compliance risk. You will monitor and report on compliance with both internal policy and external regulation, maintaining appropriate records and providing expert support with remedial action where required.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing, interpreting, and advising on Group policy requirements
  • Developing the local policy framework in response to external requirements and/or business need
  • Monitoring compliance across the business and proactively identifying areas of compliance failure
  • Ensuring compliance with data protection requirements, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of processing activities
  • Maintaining the compliance registers, including conflicts of interest and gifts and hospitality
  • Supporting the use of the CDD tool in relation to new and existing counterparties
  • Providing training and subject matter expertise to colleagues across the business in relation to policy and compliance matters
