Job description

As a Compliance Administrator you will join a newly formed customer focused compliance management team.

As a Compliance Administrator you will join a newly formed customer focused compliance management team. The new team has a remit to drive the University’s health, safety, environment and operational risk agenda through effective engagement, promotion of best practice and monitoring processes to achieve a safe, sustainable and compliant Campus.

Compliance Administrator Overview

You will be responsible for providing full project monitoring, administrative and coordinating support for the operational risk and compliance team and its projects. You will deliver effective stakeholder communication and engagement and be responsible for the assessment of information and managing the allocation of permits to work to supply chain partners. Management and updating of compliance databases working with key stakeholders to ensure all elements are up to date. Ensuring the escalation of information associated to risks and failures and produce reports and databases associated to the departments objectives.

Compliance Officer Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide full administrative support for the Compliance Team ensuring all databases are updated as per timeline requirements.
  • Responsible for the communication of survey timelines associated to reviews, assessments, and audits with all key stakeholder groups.
  • Oversight of the Compliance Team’s Office communications.
  • Provide research and analysis support as requested.
  • Responsible for the coordinating risks and issues management, actions on other key project health indicators on behalf of the Operational Risk and Compliance Manager and appropriate Compliance Officers.
  • Supporting the delivery of complex technology and business-based projects to time, cost, quality, and scope.
  • Supporting project teams to ensure high quality delivery according to the business case as approved.
  • Responsible for the allocation of induction invites for al stake holder groups of external supply chain partners. Ensure all records are accurately maintained and regular invites and sent out to agreed timelines.
  • Responsible for the management or accurate record keeping for all database, records, action plans.
  • Assist with the compilation of reports and relevant written communications.
  • Support the team with aspects of auditing information associated to compliance.

Compliance Administrator Requirements

To be successful in the role you will: -

  • Have administrative experience, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages, (e.g. Excel, Word).
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent networking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of managing and planning own workload with limited supervision.
  • Experience of preparing reports and presentations.
  • High-level organisation and prioritisation skills.
  • Experience of maintenance of records and documents.
  • Experience of interpreting data from a range of sources.
  • Experience of using a range of tools including databases and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to demonstrate use of initiative.
  • Ability to work well individually and in a team, and share information.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Commitment to quality, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to maintain office systems.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Commitment to on-going professional development and learning new skills.
