Job Title: Quality Compliance Officer
Reporting to: Quality Manager
Hours: 9.00 to 17.00 Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch between 12.00 and 14.00.
Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire
Client:
My client is a UK market leader in the manufacture and sale of medical and scientific equipment. Their products are sold into the NHS, Primary Care and Laboratory markets in the UK and abroad. They hold contracts with market leading pharmacy groups and are held in high regard due to their quality products, long warranties and good service.
Compliance Officer Duties:
1. Assist in the creation/implementation and adoption of the best practice on internal strategies, policies, processes and procedures in the UKAS approved lab and broader business.
2. Working with management and staff to implement professional and internal standards.
3. To gain a good working knowledge of ISO 13485 and ability to train staff on the standards.
4. To understand and implement ISO 13485/9001 procedures and training of staff.
5. To undertake internal audits and comprehensively report findings back to management with recommendations.
6. To participate in audits from external organisations such as notified bodies and customers
7. Work closely with senior management to gauge business risk and evaluate potential compliance violation.
8. Able to work independently and initiate and follow-up actions with minimal supervision in a fast –paced environment.
9. A strong degree of professionalism and proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
10. Assist in quality related tasks, including sign off of medical cabinets.
11. To gain basic knowledge and understanding of all company products.
12. Troubleshooting when required.
13. Improve efficiency across all departments.
14. To assist the UKAS laboratory Quality manager in tasks relating to ISO 17025
Responsibilities:
1) Identify potential gaps and opportunities for improvement in the companies Compliance program.
2) Monitoring the companies compliance with regulations and internal policies to ensure that they are up to date and meet relevant standard requirements.
3) Assist in the creation/implementation and adoption of the best practice on internal strategies, policies, processes and procedures.
The Ideal candidate:
- Excellent standard of education (degree ideally) with previous compliance experience ideally within the medical and / or manufacturing industry.
- Quality management background.
- Ideally experience of working with ISO 13485.
- Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
- Flexible hard working approach with no hesitation to take on tasks outside of specific scope of the job description.
- Must live in a commutable distance to Basingstoke
Remuneration:
£33k to £34k pa. plus significant bonuses based on company performance

Base salary
£33,000/yr - £34,000/yr
