Following an outstanding performance in REF 2021, Manchester Metropolitan University is continuing to pursue research excellence with impact as one of two core missions under its Road to 2030 Strategy. To help achieve our ambitions, we are seeking to appoint a Research Integrity Officer to support the delivery of high-quality research that makes a positive difference to people's lives.
The role:
As a Research Integrity Officer you will play a major part in ensuring that research is delivered in ways that align with our ethical values and our commitment to the Concordat for Research Integrity. You will join a small and friendly team that helps staff and students to carry out research that is consistent with high ethical and governance standards
You will report to an experienced Research Ethics and Governance Manager and you will work with a wide range of researchers and research-enabling staff as well as our Faculty Heads of Research Ethics and Governance. This is an exciting role,in which you will make an important contribution to our research culture across a wide range of different disciplines.
About you:
We are looking for a personable, values-driven and collegiate individual who will build positive working relationships and can cope with the demands of a busy working environment.
The successful applicant will have experience of working in a similar role or function either in a University / the NHS or a related administrative environment.
This role requires you to have an interest and enthusiasm for research integrity.
You will have an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the implementation of the University's ambitious research strategy.
