The Role
This is a great opportunity at Lancaster City Council, whom are developing a dedicated team for resident safety and managing the risks related to all areas of property compliance. This includes the big 6: asbestos, fire, gas, electrical systems, water hygiene, and lifting equipment. The team will be an integral part of Repairs & Maintenance Services (RMS).
As part of this team we are looking for a Compliance Officer for M&E (gas, electrical, lifting equipment etc) or a generic role (dependant on experience), overseeing property compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the day to day co-ordination and management of works relating to our obligations in these areas. You will provide an effective risk management and proactive approach, ensuring quality services are delivered within budget and supporting the development of effective business systems to enhance our compliance data, reporting and service delivery.
You will play a key role in supporting a transformation programme to enhance our compliance services encouraging and promoting a positive culture across the Council.
This role is permanent. The hours of work for this post are 37 hours per week.
