Product Compliance Manager -Based at our Head Office, BH23 6HG.

This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours. Our core business hours are Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm but we have a flexible approach to start and finish times.
Our hybrid working model is 3 days in the office (BH23 6HG) and 2 days working from home.
About the Role
As Hobbycraft grows and develops its own branded strategy we have an exciting opportunity for a Product Compliance Manager. This role is based at our Head Office in Christchurch, Dorset with international business travel required.
The Product Compliance Manager will work with buyers, the sourcing teams, our suppliers and their factories and supply chain to provide specialist advice on product development and testing requirements. You will provide strong retail compliance across 12 crafting categories and will also be responsible for packaging compliance for EU & UK. Our factory compliance is outsourced, and this relationship would need to be managed. The QC Manager will also have indirect responsibility for our suppliers’ QA/QC teams.
The QC Manager will report to Head of Global Sourcing and work cross functionally with particular focus on buying, supply chain, artwork, distribution centre, central operations, commercial data co-ordinators and stores.
About You
- Recent graduate in a product design, chemical or manufacturing discipline
- Relevant experience in either retail, manufacturing or importing.
- Passionate about products, how they work and how they are manufactured.
- Committed to quality and continuous improvement.
- An eye for detail
- Flexible attitude with a “hands on” approach
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
- Self -starter, ability to work well under pressure and unsupervised.
- Good organisation & time management skills.
- Must hold a valid UK Driving Licence
- Able to travel internationally (this will be Business Class)
