Role Objectives
The Compliance Manager is responsible for developing and executing compliance programs in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organisation. Specifically, in the areas of maintaining and improving our certified management system including ISO27001 Information Security, ISO9001 Quality Management and ISO22301 Business Continuity and regulatory Compliance including; ICO, OFCOM, POPIA, FCC, HiPPA and any other regulatory bodies.
The Compliance Manager provides strong leadership and management within the team and support to our internal and external stakeholders by providing proactive guidance/training of the requirements of these programs by maintaining policies and procedures. Participants in both internal and external audits of compliance, developing proactive methods to identify and resolve potential compliance issues. This position will be accountable for liaising with business and functional leaders and may be involved in other projects and company initiatives.
Core Responsibilities & Duties
- Providing strong BCM leadership and setting the direction for business continuity management. Responsible for developing and providing an overall integrated Business Continuity Plan and Operational Readiness strategy in line with clearly defined BCM and business requirements.
- Updating and creating plans and policies for Connex covering issues such as Pandemics, Loss of environment, Loss of Cloud Solution etc.
- Coordinating and managing the annual testing and exercise schedule.
- Maintaining own level of knowledge and competency in relations to Business Continuity, Information Security, Quality and Risk management
- Liaise with department heads to update risk assessments, creating regular reports on risk and ensuring risk treatments are implemented and target completion dates are met.
- Ensure incidents are managed and appropriately investigated.
- Work alongside our teams internationally to coordinate annual testing, risk and policy updates.
- Stay up to date with law and regulation in our international offices
- Ensuring plans are updated and re-tested where incident and problem management review requires changes to be reflected in the plan.
- Deputy chair for the creation and presentation of management review
- Ensuring any data protection requests are assigned to the DPO and responded to
- Assist the team with completing any questionnaires including; supplier, technical or tenders
- Deputy chair for the Change Board where required
- Reporting any immediate risks to the Compliance director.
- Any other managerial duties as deemed necessary by the Compliance Director
Qualifications & Experience
- A confident and well-presented individual.
- An understanding of day-to-day maintenance of ISO management systems including; ISO27001, ISO9001 and ISO22301
- A good knowledge and understanding of risk assessments and methodology
- Understanding of the GDPR and data protection
- Be able to provide advice and guidance to stakeholders as well as work with other departments.
- Be an effective communicator in written form and through verbal communication.
- Ability to maintain relationships both within the business and externally with client’s and other stakeholders.
- Able to listen and respond appropriately when confronted with objections.
- Willingness to learn new skills and knowledge.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, organisation and initiative.
- Experience in internal and external audits
- Lead auditor qualification would be desirable

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £35,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
