Position:

The individual will be responsible for the due diligence process for new and existing counterparties and vessel approvals. Cz’s Compliance department supports all global entities in trade compliance as well as obligations of the regulated entity. The role offers lots of variety and learning opportunities.


Tasks & Responsibilities


  • Analyse data, update and manage the client database and create reports.
  • Request, review and track Customer Due (CDD) documentation for all new and existing customers.
  • Communicate effectively with the Front Office (trading team), handle queries and obtain or update the documents required to satisfy the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Policy.
  • Screening of information obtained and resolving any potential matches.
  • Screening and approvals of vessels.
  • Supporting ongoing annual compliance programme delivery: creating training content and assisting with projects.
  • To take responsibility for your performance and to work together to achieve our organizational goals.
  • To attend training courses which are identified as being necessary for the performance of the role.
  • To be fully conversant with the Employee Handbook and supporting policies, including Health & Safety legislation and fire and emergency procedures.
  • To comply with any reasonable instructions issued by your Manager.
  • Changes in the business may occasionally require alterations in this job description and these will be agreed with the post holder as appropriate.


Requirements:


We are looking for someone with the following skillset and attributes:


Essential:


  • Interest in laws and regulations applicable to UK firms.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply the company’s Compliance policies and procedures.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills – good at keeping records and tracking progress.
  • Ability to communicate confidently, efficiently and clearly in both written and verbal forms with different departments and overseas offices.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Good time management and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
  • Capable of quickly learning how to use the internal IT systems and screening applications.
  • Interest in new technologies.
