Compliance & Assurance Specialist
- Work with Senior Manager - Compliance to plan and design control assessment initiatives.
- Co-ordinate and execute 1st line compliance assurance programmes including oversight of any risks and issues arising.
- Identify gaps in key controls and recommend remediation actions.
- Oversee the roll out of remediation programmes.
- Interpret regulatory requirements applicable to Telco/Digital and consider how they apply to the business.
- Develop culture for risk, compliance, assurance and quality within Digital.
- Provide coaching support on processes and control requirements to the 1st line when required.
- Collect, manage and review consolidated management information relevant to monitoring compliance and performance of controls, where available and appropriate.
- Ensuring effective quality assurance and the overall integrity for Digital.
- Input into and help draft the quarterly reports for Audit and Risk Committees.
- Participate in working groups as required.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills with the strong ability to communicate effectively.
- Comfortable with change and working in a highly complex and fast-paced environment
- Have strong initiative, drive and self-direction
- Experience with risk and compliance management, audit/assurance and the three lines of defence model within a complex international organisation.
- Ability to understand and interpret regulatory requirements and standards (eg. anti-bribery, international trade and sanctions, GDPR, Telecommunications Security Act, ISO, DCAM) including how they impact BT’s overall business controls & processes
- Strong planning and organising skills in the delivery of compliance assurance and remediation programmes.
- Experience in cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) or generative AI would be an advantage.
