Payroll Officer – based in Milton Keynes – MK5
Purpose of Role:
This individual will work with the Payroll team. Working in partnership with the Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining the high quality service currently provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll around 950 a week.
- Manage emails and telephone calls, and deal with queries relating to pay, holidays and contractual matters
- Ensure all workers are legally compliant by checking (amongst other things) references, eligibility to work, criminal convictions declarations and DBS checks
- Make Credit Amendments for leavers (change BACS amount already sent)
- RTI
- Complete Statutory forms; P46, P45
- Run monthly journals
- Inland Revenue, AEO’s, CSA payments and other deductions (charity payments)
- Running monthly reports
- Complete various spreadsheets noting monthly contributions; Pension,
- Bank Account Reconciliation – information from BACS report
- Keeping sickness records
- Distribution of payslips – Internal and External
- Dealing with Overpayments – beginning to end: Estoppels, Court Claim Forms, Judgment for Claimant etc
Person Specification:
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Process oriented with the ability to see a task through to completion.
- A team player who works effectively with others.
Hours of work:
9.00am - 5.00pm (Monday - Friday)
37.5 Hours a week, can be flexible on start in finish time but will need to do 37.5 hours a week.
