Payroll Officer-Bury St Edmunds-£25-30k

We are currently looking for a Payroll Officer on behalf of our client based in Bury St Edmunds! This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly formed team with a brilliant business!

Salary: £25-30k (Depending on experience)

Hours: Monday-Friday (08:00-17:00) Hybrid/flexible working

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate payroll processing system and records.
• Manage all payroll related queries, proactively resolving them or escalating when necessary.
• Prepare and finalise payroll reports ready for submission and approval for payment.
• Work alongside HR to ensure any changes in pension and benefits are processed and accurately maintained.
• Reconcile payroll and pension related reports.
• Assist the finance team with driving global payroll strategy and streamlining processes.
• Identify and resolve any discrepancies between HRM system, timesheet system and internal payroll reports.

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience in a Payroll position
• Detailed understanding of tax and payroll laws
• Team-Player with strong communication skills
• Highly organised to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Excel and Accounting systems
